OK, OK, so it's Hayling and it's the 5.5m again... maybe I should have gone to Pagham and snaked a few lines with Kiwi Steve :^) but I'm not apologetic! Had a lovely time, got down 5-ish, tide on the drop, Mike T there hoping to get going on his 5.7, sun out, Friday night - how much better does it get?*

Rigged up quickly, went with the 430 mast instead of the Cribby suggested 400, which I will try again now I've had another 430 try, zoomed upwind to the more bouncy zone of the sandbars and then spent 1.5 hours practising jumping and catching the tiny waves. It gets tricky with a set of 3 closely spaced ones, you can't jump them all and the last is often the best...

Got really thirsty so came in, but the wind dropped a bit as I did, so happily packed up and went home. Great eve, and glad I went because it's raining today... Maybe Pagham next time (but it's further!!).

* Possibly lots, in a number of ways, but yesterday evening it didn't feel like it!
